Hi Lynn :-)

Send me an email to info@fengshuibyleigh.com and I will send you a Ba Gua map. If you watch the 411 episode you will have more of an understanding of how to place it. To answer your question, yes a room can fall in two areas of the Ba Gua. I am waiting (not so patiently :-) ) for my book, it will be officially released at the end of the month! Thank you so much for tuning in!

Backpack Picnic - Lamborghini Poster

Our 10 year old son, Logan, called me into his room the other day to see something he picked up at the school bookfair. I walk into his room to find a..... Lamborghini Poster.... hanging on his wall. I promptly brought him to my laptop to see this video.. I think it is only fitting he know the song that goes with the poster!

Needless to say at dinner all four of us were singing the Lamborghini Poster song... can't get it out of our heads!!!

Thanks!!

I would place the Ba Gua on your office and activate each sector with a piece of paper that corresponds with the color of that area. For example, journey=black, Wealth=purple, fame=red. (does that make sense?)I would also write your intentions on each piece of paper and you can even hide them behind other items if you need to. That is VERY basic, but it is a start. If you need a copy of the Ba Gua, email me and I will send you one. (info@fengshuibyleigh.com)

Good luck and thanks so much for tuning in!

Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom

Wow! You have a lot of stuff going on in that room and under you. It can be hard to get focused when you have a lot of things competing your your attention and a lot of mirrors keep energy bouncing around.

It sounds like the area your are renting is in the helpful people area of the home. This is a benefit to you since you need helpful people to assist you in opening your business. I would recommend only keeping things around you that you need and place the Ba Gua over your space as a whole. I would also make sure your bed is not by the mirrors, that will keep you up at ngith. As you activate each area, you will find a sense of balance that will help you get organized and get a great night's sleep!

Feel free to call into my weekly radio show with any specific questions. www.co-creatornetwork.com I am live on Wednesdays at noon.

Thanks for your question and for tuning in.

Hi Lisa,

Yes, a flat ceiling is always best! I know how beautiful some of the "designer looks" can be. Places where you sleep, sit or work need to be flat. Other places where you don't spend a lot of time directly under are ok to get creative. Thanks for your question and for tuning in! You can also catch me live on Wednesday's at www.co-creatornetwork.com for your Feng Shui questions. There are archives to listen to and they replay the shows daily, but I'm live on Wednesdays.

Thanks!

Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom

Hi there,

My first recmmendation would be to downsize to a queen sized bed. If that is not possible, put a red fitted silk sheet on the box springs to symbolically fuse together the two pieces. King mattresses sit on two seperate box springs which causes a split in your foundation. Do you have a headboard? If not get one to keep all of your energy from going out the windows and this will help you recharge while you are sleeping.

The idea is to set your room up in a way that makes you feel good because if you feel like your room is in serious trouble you will create it that way. Set your space up in a way that makes you feel positive and optimistic so you will create more things to be positive and optimistic about!

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Arlene, you will line the bottom of the Ba Gua up with your front door, meaning that you will enter through your wisdom, journey or helpful people area. Upstairs you will use the landing of the stairs just like your front door. Email me at info@fengshuibyleigh.com and I will send you a copy. Thanks so much for tuning in!

Hey Samantha, What does the jade dragon and the phoenix mean to you? You want anything you place in your space to have personal relevance to you, or it will just be taking up space! In your bedroom you want to create the feel that you want in your relationship. I encourage clients to use artwork, color and items that give them the feel they want! Surrounding yourself with items that make you feel safe, secure, romantic or playful will help you create this in your relationship. Have fun with this process and make it your own!

Hi Yolanda,

I don't pay attention that kind of information becuase our intent is so powerful that if we believe we will have an unlucky year, we will create it that way. Sometimes those programs are trying to tell you what you will learn and how you might grow over the next year, why don't you look at it from that point of view. The most important thing to do is intend what kind of year you will have and consider putting together a vision board. (of course Feng Shui-ing your space is a great way to remind yourself of what you want to create.) The idea is intention. You should also consider reading "The Law of Attraction" by Esther & Jerry Hicks~ That will make you feel better and realize the power that you have to make this a great year!

Have Fun~

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom

I'm thrilled to hear you have cleared your clutter, what a difference that makes!

For the wealth corner of your room as well as your bed you will want to create upward moving energy. A four poster bed will create this for you while you sleep, and you will want the same upward moving energy type of decor for the wealth corner. (A round faceted crystal would also do the trick!)

For the bed over the stove, why don't you place a mirror under your bed facing downward (toward the kitchen) to push that energy back down.

My biggest piece of advice is to have fun with this and don't make any changes because you are fearful. Keep your eye on what you want to create (your goals) not what you want to avoid. The idea is to use Feng Shui to put your goals in front of you everyday and watch them show up for you!

Have fun and more power to you too!!

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom

When you are starting to Feng Shui your space I would place the Ba Gua over your space as a whole. Once that is complete you can place it room by room. Trying to do it room by room from the beginning could be a bit overwhelming. The idea is to have fun with it!!

Hey Desperate in Montreal :-)

I studied with Sharon Stasney at The Feng Shui Training Center in Utah. Since Paul (my hubby) and I were certified through FSTC, when we had the opportunity to purchase and direct the school operating from our community, we knew that was what we wanted to do.(You can visit thefengshuitrainingcenter.com for details.)

We practice the BTB School of Feng Shui, since this style made the most sense to us from a practical point of view. We believe that all forms of Feng Shui work, you will want to find the one that resonates with you for the best results.

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Hi Angela, We will remedy the Ba Gua question, just email me:-). (info@fengshuibyleigh.com) All of the rooms fall inside the Ba Gua, however you might have an extension of an area or a missing portion. Your room creates quite a challenge! You can't be sleeping well with the mirrors facing you, so my first piece of advice is to remove them or at least get them our of your line of sight! I would like to see pictures of the bed situation to see which one is the best for you. A solid wall behind your head when you sleep is ideal, but the beam isn't. You can remedy the beam with paint, a crystal or a flute. Hope I haven't confused you too much! Everything is "fixable", remember Feng Shui is 90% intention! Look forward to hearing from you! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom
Dorrina, I normally ask that people stay away from fire in the wealth area, but with your obvious understanding of the elements and intention with the clear marbles and glass vase, you go ahead!!! I love the sound of that and am so impressed with that cure!! As far as your ceiling fan goes, why don't you try a 30mm round facated crystal? You can find them at www.lightstones.com You might be ok with the position of the ceiling fan, but I would put the crystal up anyway:-). Also when you get it, make sure you put it in salt and water in a cup or bowl and place it in the sun for 7 days to cleanse it! Thank you so much for your encouragement and for tuning in!! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom
CaribDiva, I'm so impressed that you have cleared out your bedroom! I work with some clients for MANY months before I get them to tackle that one! What sector of the Ba Gua is your bedroom in? You want to consider that when choosing a color. If you were to go neutral, find a flesh tone color that will look good against your skin at night. I avoid peach colors as they create change, but a color that is close to your skin color or that compliments your skin color will work well. A solid wall behind your head when you sleep is also really important for you because it supports your immune system. Can you place your bed on a solid wall? Do you have two matching nightstands? That is also really important! Have fun and let me know if you have any other quetions! Thanks for tuning in!! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Master Bedroom
At the risk of sounding dramatic, if you keep your bed in this position, keep an eye out for a third side in your relationship and if you notice one coming in, MOVE YOUR BED :-). But in the meantime, fill in the triangle behind your head with a table and possibly a picture of you and your mate. Avoid things that might hang over your head, but do fill in that space. I strongly recommend matching nightstands; do you have nightstands with your current setup? Don’t be afraid to move the furniture around to find an arrangement that feels good! You will know it when you find it!! Thanks for tuning in! Leigh

Hey Kimberly, You will place the crystal along the wall that is pushing down on you. (Take a close look at the picture of the ceiling in this episode and you can see it.) I order my crystals from Light Stones (www.lightstones.com) or you can get them from a consultant in your area. Make sure you get an Austrian Double Faceted Crystal Ball I use a 30mm to 40mm crystal on the ceiling but don't pay more than $25 for it. Thank you for tuning in!! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom

You will align the Ba Gua with your front door. Meaning, your front door will fall in the self knowledge, journey or helpful people area of the Ba Gua.

Have fun!

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom
Yes, why don't we compromise :-)No need to go shopping, enjoy your furniture. Let's make the room earthy (you can do this with paint, a color with some muddiness to it) you could even bring in some fire (to burn the wood to make more earth!)Get creative with it and intend the outcome! It is quite fun that way... Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom
We practice and teach the BTB Sect of Feng Shui. It sounds like you might be familiar with the Compass School of Feng Shui. All styles work, but we chose the BTB because of all the styles, that one made the most sense to us. Find the one that resonates with you and stick to it. That being said, I will answer your question?. We focus on the positive because what we focus on is what shows up for us. Since you have put your life on hold for the past three years my first recommendation would be to activate the journey area of the Ba Gua to open up the possibilities that you might not be seeing. I would also activate the fame/reputation area to declare what you want to be known for and then I would activate the helpful people area to call in those helpful people you need for your appeal. Also take a look at the center of the home to make sure it is in balance. Let me know if you have any other questions. info@fengshuibyleigh.com Thank you for tuning in and good luck!! Leigh

Margarita, take the top mirror off to let the chi lift the energy of the box and multiply your intentions! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom
That is a great shaped for a treasure box, since it represents balance. I'm not sure how the mirrors are positioned, but it could represent multiplying whatever you put in the treasure box. Have fun!! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom
We align the Ba Gua according to the front door. Thanks! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom
Hey Margarita! No, it doesn't have to go under the bed you can place it where you can see it everyday; similar to a vision board. We had to re-think our treasure box under our bed since our dog decided to chew it up. :-( We decided to change to a vision board that is actually under our mattress. This keeps the dog safe and keeps our goals under us as we sleep instead of out in the backyard! LOL
Feng Shui Your Way - Guest Bedroom
Whatever energy is present during this sleep state will influence all our conscious moments. One of the most powerful ways to work with this space is to create a treasure box or a joy bowl. Choosing a container: A box has the energy of embracing and holding. A bowl has an open quality that invites something new in. The style, material and type of container affect its energy, which sets the vibration for the entire adjustment. • For clarity, consider a clear glass bowl. • For abundance, consider a box with ornate carving or a jewel studded cover. • For strength and support, consider an earthen pottery bowl or a solid wooden box. • For flexibility and flow, consider a woven basket or an abalone shell. What to include: When deciding what to put in the treasure box, think about what gives you joy? Don’t put just money in the box unless that is all you want to create. You want a balanced treasure box since this encourages a balanced life. When placing money in the box, don’t put change, or this is what you will attract. Try placing one bill of each denomination in the box: a one, five, ten, twenty, fifty and a hundred dollar bill representing willingness to manifest abundance on many levels. You can also write out a check for the amount that you need to receive in order for something to happen. Write an amount or more so you don’t create unnecessary limitations. • For abundance of time, include a watch; make sure it is in good working order. • If you want to be more flexible and understanding of others, include rubber bands. • For more passion, place a container of massage oil, a favorite scent, or a picture of two people enjoying each other with the kind of passion you want to experience. • For inner peace and contentment, you can place a single candle, incense stick, or other meditative object in the box. • To represent an increase of cooperation and good will, place two red strings tied with a square knot in the box. This represents the unification of disparate energies. • Place a rainbow colored candle or some other item with all seven-rainbow colors to invite harmony and balance into your life. • For an abundance of friends and helpful supporters, you can place anything circular in the box. For a more literal representation, you can use a ceramic candleholder that depicts a circle of friends holding hands. • For an abundance of energy, place a spiral-shaped copper coil in the box. Copper is a strong energy activator and the spiral represents the spiraling coil of energy through the chakras. Whatever you place in the box, make sure it has significance for you personally. Have fun! Leigh

Hi Blanca,

You can email me your questions at info@fengshuibyleigh.com

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - The 411 on Feng Shui

Yes, the Ba Gua map applies to both levels so you will place the Ba Gua on both upstairs and downstairs. For the hallway that falls in several sectors, I would put décor that represents the different sectors in the different areas of the hallway. So earthy items in yellow tones, squares and circles in the health portion of the hallway, and consider children’s art work or items that represent metal, the pastel color spectrum or even circles in the creativity area.

Does that make sense? Let me know if you need anymore direction. Thanks so much for tuning in!

When looking to buy a home, you want to consider your goals and how the home may support you in those goals. I would avoid homes at the end of a t-intersection, a stairway that faces the front door, a fireplace in the wealth area, a restroom in the center of the home or a home that has a missing sector. You might locate a Feng Shui Practitioner in your area to help you pick the best home for your family.

Hi Margeline, Thanks so much for tuning in! I don't use birthdates when working in homes and I believe that we create our own luck :-)! Soft muted tones that have had gray added to them are considered more private than their brighter counterparts.

Brown says family. Adding brown in trim work or woodwork can be a subtle way to invite family in without being overwhelmed by family visitors.

If your door falls in the journey area consider black, this is a great way to bring in the water element.

door colors and career choices...

Counseling—soft yellow, gold

Sales and marketing—red, bright colors

Healing professions—green

Service-oriented professions, teachers—blue

Computers, intellectual property, and details—white, shades of gray

Architecture and building—naturals, muted tones

Customer service, people-oriented—brown, creams

Writing—deep blue, black

Have fun!!

Hi there!

It sounds like you might have read about the Compass School of Feng Shui. I practice and teach the BTB Sect or Western Feng Shui. (We align the Ba Gua according to the front door, not the actual compass direction) One is not better than the other, you just want to find the one that makes the most sense to you. This will make your adjusments much more effective! (remember... Intention!) Have fun and let me know if you have any other questions!

Feng Shui Your Way - The 411 on Feng Shui

Hi Aracely,

Well first, don't bring anything you don't love, need, or use. This is the perfect time to get rid of any clutter and change energy patterns. Is this a new home or did you purchase it from another family? If it isn't a new home I would sage it before you move in to avoid moving into their old energy patterns! Have fun!!

Hi Angela! You align the Ba Gua according to the front door, meaning that your front door will be in the wisdom, journey or helpful people areas. This can be confusing until you get the hang of it :-) If you need more clarification, email me at info@fengshuibyleigh.com Thanks so much for tuning in! I look forward to hearing from you. Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - The 411 on Feng Shui
Great question Ophelia! You align the front door with the wisdom, journey or helpful people area of the Ba Gua. If you stand in front of your home facing the front door the far left corner will be your wealth area, the far middle area will be your fame, and the far right will be your relationship area. Does that make sense? Send me an email to info@fengshuibyleigh.com and I will send you the actual Ba Gua map. Thanks so much for tuning in and let me know if you have any other questions. Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - The 411 on Feng Shui
Margarita, I love the meaning behind your bracelet. Yes, I would consider you Feng Shui-ing it because you are creating an intention that you see everyday! Those adjustments we make that have meaning to us are always more powerful than ones that don't have personal meaning. We have "Home for Sale" episode coming up, I think you will enjoy it! Leigh :-)
Feng Shui Your Way - The 411 on Feng Shui
Hey Margarita, you will have to decide where the water fountain will fit. My recommendation is to make sure the water flows toward the door, encouraging abundance to flow to your home! The water feature shown in this episode has water flowing toward the door but also in other directions. We look at this as the client sharing their abundance, and having it all come back to them. As far as my Pandora.... I haven't found a charm I don't like! I have two bracelets and a necklace. :-) Thanks so much for tuning in! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Dentist's Office

Hey Superfan :-)

It sounds like you have a view of the door, and your back is protected. It also sounds like your journey area is in front of you, but centered on that wall. Send me an email and I will be happy to give you a Ba Gua map.

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - Dentist's Office

You want the command position of the room. This means that you want a solid wall behind your head, you want to be out of the mouth of chi (the doorway) and you need a view of the door.

Have fun! Thanks so much for tuning in.

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - Dentist's Office
Great question! You don't have to use red to activate the fame/reputation area. You can get creative with something that represents fire. You can go with something very bright that is fiery or you can go very neutral, but bring in the triangle shape. The shape can be in the pattern of the fabric or the shape of the drape itself, both will work. Does that make sense? Thanks so much for tuning in! Leigh
Feng Shui Your Way - Breakfast Room

Great question! When we say point, we mean a hard point that hurts to the touch. This sends out what we call shar chi which can push away, depending on what sector it falls in, anything from people, opportunities or even money! Don't give this too much focus and don't stress over it; just find nice soft leaves :-)

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Leigh

Feng Shui Your Way - Breakfast Room

When you are looking for a job you will want to activate the journey area. (the front center portion of the Ba Gua) This will open up possibilities and bring in opportunities for you. You can do this by adding water, the color black or items with asemetrical shapes. If you choose water, make sure it doesn't flow away from the home. Hanging a windchime in the helpful people area (outside the home) is a great chi activator to help you "call" in those helpful people and supporters. Good luck and send me an email if you need a Ba Gua map. (info@fengshuibyleigh.com)

Sally, we worked in the Fame/Reputation area of the Ba Gua and since the element in this area is fire, red is a great activator. Red can be tough since it calls you forth so to speak and if you aren't ready you won't be comfortable with the speed of things. Keeping that in mind, this couple was ready to move to the next phase of their life and the red wall supports their intention. Thank you for your feedback.
Feng Shui Your Way - Home Office

Khoi, I would recommend activating the wealth and helpful people areas for the goals that you have. I would also recommend clearing the space with sage or a salt burn. Hi Sasha,

Why don't you make your master bedroom reflect the feeling that you want in your relationship? In other words, if you want more passion, place pictures (or items) in your bedroom that represents the type of passion you want to experience. You will also want one piece of art that you and your husband see when you get up each morning; this will give you a perspective for the day. It is great when you can pick this out together and it has meaning for both of you, it will also give you the same perspective and bring you closer!

Take a look to make sure you don't have any triangles in the bedroom; this will create a third side in the relationship. If you find one, just remove it :-)

If the kitchen below you is bothering you, try placing a mirror under the bed facing downward.

Have fun with this and get your hubby involved!

To shocohen, We have an office episode coming up soon that will help you with the set up of your desk, cubicle or office!! A trash can (or toilet for that matter) is not permitted in Feng Shui didn't anyone tell you?.... ha ha...I wish we could just get rid of them!! Since we can't why don't you look at where you can put it, and try to get a trash can the color of the corresponding sector of the Ba Gua. Empty it on your way out each day and INTEND it to be a help for you to keep your office organized and clutter free. Good luck and let me know if you need anymore clarification. To Pablo, we have some great episodes coming up for you!!
